The Spares Board

Because we all make mistakes! The Fringe's spare-ticket noticeboard for arranging resales or giveaways all in one place. Give those tickets you bought for the wrong day a happy home.

How it works

Selling a spare

  1. Got a spare? Upload your booking confirmation screenshot and we read the details for you.
  2. Confirm the details, set a price (free or at/below what you paid), and add your email.
  3. Click the link we email you to publish, then share your listing anywhere.
  4. When someone wants it, we email you their message so you can reply straight to them. Your address stays private until you reply.

Buying a spare

  1. Browse the board by date, time or show and open anything that catches your eye.
  2. Hit "I want this" and leave the seller a short message with your email.
  3. We pass it to the seller; they reply straight to you, and the two of you arrange how to hand over the ticket and settle up. We never handle money.

How Fringe tickets actually work

Staying safe

⚠️ Agree how you'll hand over the ticket before any money changes hands. We hold no money and can't recover it if you're scammed.

The 📷 Extracted from screenshotbadge means a listing's details were read from an uploaded booking confirmation, rather than typed in by hand. It's a helpful signal, not a guarantee, so use your judgement either way.

Prices

List for free or at/below face value. We check the price against your screenshot and flag anything higher. Please don't tout.

The small print

Heads up: this is a brand-new, independent side-project, not run by or connected to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society. Fringe ticketing has a lot of moving parts, so treat anything here as a pointer and confirm the details with the venue's box office, who'll always have the latest word.

The Spares Board is a free noticeboard that connects people. We hold no tickets, take no payment, and take no responsibility for transactions or scams. Sell at or below face value. Not affiliated with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society.
